I’ve been going through this process as an owner selling myself — many agents, all want the listing, not bringing buyers — why do agents/brokers hold these keys? It seems to be propaganda from the brokerage community that FSBO is a big no, no.
There must be a better way, something to help homeowners manage/market and sell their properties themselves!

Right now it’s starting with a dedicated property website — with some very useful features — open house sign ups come with qualifying questions for incoming clients.
Social media sharing enabled.
Free form property highlights, so an owner can feature and highlight aspects of their property that you can’t necessarily feature in platforms like Zillow and Streeteasy.
The application will have upcoming feature releases, an educational backend system to assist with your real estate transaction, a place to upload necessary documents, a deal flow management system — all with checkpoints and calls to action to let a user know how they are doing, or what they need to review.
What’s great about the application is, the more owners that utilize the system, the more owners can speak to one another, in a bulletin format — the more useful the application becomes at disseminating specific deal knowledge, knowledge coming from owners!
End to end deal flow/deal knowledge, experiences, how problems were overcome will be available to all users/owners. As the system improves, more and more owners will trust the system, more owners will want to sell on their own — as well direct buyers will understand that this application is offering for sale by owner in a much better light — they’ll feel they can trust and execute a deal with direct sellers. More peer to peer transactions will accrue. This is the future of real estate, no matter what any brokerage thinks or does, whether its my application or not (I feel strongly it will be) peer to peer transactions are the future of real estate. Period.
